Dear Caldwell,
A few quick items:
1. A member of the church needs help moving on rather short notice either Saturday or Sunday. We need muscle and a pick-up. This is moving mostly boxes from Park Road area to Dilworth/Metropolitan area. Need is probably more for muscle than a truck, as I think we can find one (but are open of you have an available pick-up.) If you also have a double/full bed frame that she could use, that would be great! Please call me (704-957-4511) if you can help for a few hours either Saturday or Sunday.
2. Reminder: The 9:45 Sunday morning hour for Sunday school is not everyone’s cup of tea. However, this Sunday we have a great chance to converse with a recent moderator (top leader) of our denomination. Rev. Bruce Reyes-Chow will hold a town hall conversation with us in Fellowship Hall (beneath the sanctuary) at that time. A great chance to hear and discuss the latest and greatest in Presbyterianism. Bruce will preach in worship and help put our “3D” journey in context.
3. Come Sunday to meet our new Music Director. We welcome Anne Hunter Eidson as a member of our amazing worship leadership team.
4. Thinking in 3D: THANK YOU to all who so thoughtfully responded to the first part of the Reckless Self Forgetfulness sermon series about our call to be both missional and transformative. You are really ‘getting it’ and raising some great questions and insights. What a blessing to preach to such thoughtful, committed disciples!
