Dear Caldwell,
I hope you saw my blog post on Wednesday about the pending arrival of our new Associate Pastor Rev. Evie Landrau. Thanks to those who shared such positive responses. (By the way, I incorrectly said her father was African-American. Both her parents are from Puerto Rico but her father was from the lineage there that traced back to the African diaspora.)
This Sunday we will begin a two-week series of thinking about the end of life and how, as Easter people, we are to understand the Resurrection. This in concert with an initiative by our Congregational Care Committee to help us think ahead about our memorial service. Come Sunday to learn more.
Our Adult Christian Education (ACE) class continues its study of the resurrection Jesus (Shelby room 9:45 a.m.)
We get to celebrate one more time as we lift up Liz Wagner and the gifts she brought in our just-concluded interim period. Please plan to join us after worship for a brief reception in her honor.
Also Sunday, we will celebrate communion in worship. As always, breakfast with Caldwell House begins at 7 (for prep) and is served at 8:30.
As always, on the first Sunday of the month, the Session will meet to receive new members. If you have been attending Caldwell and thinking about making this your church home, we would love to have you join. If you have any questions about that, feel free to call me at 704-957-4511,
See you soon.
In Christ,
John
