Dear Caldwell,
I wanted you to know that Cathy McHale, our Business and Operations Manager, has told us that fighting the traffic in her daily commute from Rock Hill is just too life-draining. So, with our blessings on her and her abiding affection for Caldwell, she has taken a position closer to her home.
Cathy has been a superb teammate and consummate professional in tackling the wide-ranging responsibilities of her job. She has demonstrated a steady and calm demeanor as well as genuine caring for the Caldwell family and its ministries. She leaves us having improved our systems and processes and having become a welcomed member of our team.
Cathy’s last official day is this Monday, though she has arranged to work for the following two Mondays to handle certain timely responsibilities on those days. After that, our accountant, Claudia Strickert, will handle finance duties related to contributions, member/pledge reconciliation and check-writing while we search for our next Business and Operations Manager.
Under the leadership of key elders, we are reviewing the job description for accuracy and scope, which covers finance, administration, and facilities management/operations.
We welcome suggestions for any qualified candidates. Keep in mind that the church has a policy of not hiring members (as the relationship with members as parishioners is paramount.)
If you have any questions or needs related to Buildings and Grounds, contact elder Eric Overcash. For Administration and Finance questions, send an email to admin@caldwellpresby.org, but please understand that a response will not be immediate. For on-campus space reservations, contact Rev. Justin Martin at JMartin@caldwellpresby.org. If all else fails, contact me at JCleghorn@caldwellpresby.org.
Please send thanks to Cathy and offer prayers of gratitude for her time with us. Let me or Meg Haynes, elder and chair of the Administration and Personnel Committee, know if you have any questions or concerns.
In Christ,
John
