Happy New Year … or, as I’ve been saying to some of you, Happy (secular) New Year. May God’s abundance fill your lives and the lives of those you love in 2013!
Please mark your calendars for our special celebration of the ministry of Rev. Veronica Rogers among us in these last three years. From a seminarian to a trusted shepherd, Veronica has come to love us and us, her. After worship this Sunday, we will take time to give thanks for her ministry here and wish her not farewell but Godspeed as she rebalances her ministry with her other loves and priorities in life.
The event will include nibbles to hold you over, something sweet and some special recognitions. As she would have it, it will follow our usual worship service, a service when we look upon God’s coming into the world as an Epiphany beyond our wildest dreams or deserving.
We are preparing a special memories book for Veronica. You may sign it/write a brief message to Veronica at the event on Sunday. Alternatively, it will be available here at the church office from 10-5 this Friday if you prefer to swing by. Another alternative is for you to write a note to her on a piece of paper from home and bring it to be added to the book.
I will be back in touch with more to share before Sunday.
Merry Christmas!
John
