Dear Caldwell,
Tomorrow will be a full day indeed at Caldwell, one that invites you to take part in several aspects of the life of this church.
Beginning at 8:00 a.m., a small team will assemble in the kitchen next to the Fellowship Hall to fix breakfast for the guests of Caldwell House. That team will be lead by our newest intern, Lisa McLennan. We’ve been working on ways to give the residents at Caldwell House a sabbath Sunday on which they don’t have to leave our campus during the day (as they do the other 6 days of the week). Lisa will lead our breakfast team and would welcome any helping hands. Or you can just come and meet some of the Caldwell House guests and enjoy fellowship with them. Breakfast will be served at about 8:30.
In Sunday school, we will be in the second week of a study of the women of the Bible. In worship, we will look at a not-so-familiar part of the story of Jonah, welcome Lisa, recognize an Eagle Scout who’s built a great new sandbox for the preschool kids and experience all the other things that make our worship so rich.
After worship, at 1:30, members of Providence Presbyterian church will be providing a “tailgate” lunch for Caldwell House as we watch the Panthers play the Packers. This will be in Belk Hall, where Bread of Life worships.
It’s been a busy week on so many other fronts, one that took me unexpectedly out of the office and away from you and your lives. As always, I know you join me in looking forward to being with your Caldwell family tomorrow. See you then.
In Christ,
John
