Welcome to our 2021 prayer Vigil! You are joining many from our congregation who will pray from 8 p.m. on Maundy Thursday through 8 p.m. on Good Friday, remembering Jesus in the hardest day of His life and preparing for the Resurrection of His body and spirit. There are many resources that you can use to prepare for this time available for you on this page below.
An exciting addition to this years Vigil is access to a Zoom Link that will be available for the entire 24 hours. Quietly log in at anytime. A variety of options will be presented at different times. At your appointed time, in your own home, set up a sacred space with a candle, maybe a cross or picture of Jesus, or whatever reminds you of your love of God. Then log into the Zoom meeting at the link found in Caldwell this Week. Mute the speaker when you are quiet. Then you will have the pictures on your screen but no interruptions.
How to Prepare to Pray
Light a candle and settle in. Turn off TV and phones.
Breathe deeply three times or until you feel relaxed.
Let all anxiety and outer referencing go. Just sit in God’s presence and let be what will be.
Play soft, quiet music if you wish.
Meditate on The Stations of the Cross
Pray for peace for yourself and for all peoples. Then begin your prayers.
Sit in silence. Pray as you feel called.
