Midweek Doings

Caldwell Family:

I am about to hit the road to a short retreat for new pastors, sponsored by the denomination. I will be back on Saturday and in church on Sunday, where I am looking forward to hearing our intern Veronica Rogers preach.

Before I left, I wanted to highlight a new tool on our website and invite you to use it. At Caldwellpresby.org, you can now find a calendar of events of church activities. This will help us plan and organize all our goings-on here. Take a look and check out its many functions. This is the good work of Office Manager Leslie Gipple and the support of Tovi Martin and Jessica Pistole Polk, who are also sprucing up the site in other ways.

Last week, at the invitation of the Presbytery, I found myself in a radio studio trying to express something of value in 40 seconds. That’s hard for a preacher who likes 18 minutes on Sunday mornings. Nonetheless, the meditation ran as part of a series on WLYT FM and it now lives on their website at http://wlyt.com/pages/liteforyourlife.html.

This week we are keeping Elaine Seipel in our hearts as she returns from being with her mother at the end of her mother’s life. Please consider dropping Elaine a note at her home address which will be shared by email with church members.

May the peace of God, which passes all understanding, be in her heart and yours as we pass through this midweek.

John
