New Faces & Time-Tested Church Ways

We welcome Rev. Everdith (Evie) Landrau

Dear Caldwell,

This Sunday we joyfully welcome a new face to our staff, Associate Pastor Rev. Everdith “Evie” Landrau. This completes our journey since January, when Rev. Veronica Rogers left to look after some personal matters. Evie brings many gifts and will add to our ministry in countless ways. Come Sunday to meet her. Introduce yourself and invite her out for coffee!

In worship, we will continue walking in the steps of the early Apostolic Church in Jerusalem, a band of marginalized and derided believers who clung to their belief in Jesus Christ, nonetheless. It turns out that, even in its infant stages, the early church had some good lessons (Acts 6: 1-7) to teach us about how a growing church should balance its “inreach” and “outreach” ministries, a timely topic as we continue our 3D process of discernment, dialogue and dreaming.

Also Sunday:

8:30 a.m.          Caldwell House breakfast (prep starts at 7 if you want to help) and devotions with Abong Fankam.

9:45 a.m.           The ACE adult class will look at “God and His Glory” (Ephesians 1:1-14) as they continue Practicing Resurrection.

10:00-10:45    We continue to take photos for our upcoming photo directories. (and at 12:30-1:15 pm)

6:00 pm            Follow-up meeting on “Bearing Witness” in Raleigh (Shelby Room)

We also welcome new members Robbi and Scott Walls

Another thing you can do Sunday is seek out some more new members (hoorah)- The Gardner family (Jared/Dad and new members Nicole/Mom, and kids Aiden, Joe and Nia) and Robbi and Scott Walls.

See you Sunday!

In Christ,

John
