Dear Caldwell,
Whether you are in the midst of some last minute errands or sitting comfortably at home with family and friends, Merry Christmas Eve. My mother’s family has a tradition. On Christmas Eve, if the first words another family member greeted you with were “Christmas Eve gift,” you had to give them the gift of a kiss on the cheek.
Tonight we celebrate the greatest Christmas Eve gift of all, the birth of our Savior. Please join us at 5:30 pm for worship and afterwards for light refreshments. “Our” parking lot across the street has been cleared for us to use and, actually, nicely improved in the last few days.
Come one, come all. O Come, O Come Emanuel.
Peace,
John
