Dear Caldwell Family:
As Garrison Keillor says about Lake Woebegone, it’s been a busy week in the life of Caldwell church.
Our team of volunteers continues to do a silky-smooth job of hosting the Lenten Series and Lunches. It’s been great to have that midweek service here in our midst and to see so many of you there. So many other of our ministries are in full-stride – a wonderful sight to see from where I sit.
By way of pastoral updates: Fred Powers continues to recuperate at CMC-Mercy. He is healing well and in good spirits. He appreciates everyone’s thoughts and prayers and feels uplifted by them. Sue Aivaz remains at CMC-Main as the result of some breathing problems and general weakness. She continues on dialysis. In visiting her, I have told her that all of Caldwell holds her close. Carol Williams and family arrived home safely Tuesday and granddaughter Madison returned promptly to school. They will look for the next chance to return to Pittsburgh for the treatment they had sought earlier this week.
Don’t forget to “spring forward” on your clocks Saturday night. This is the fourth Sunday in Lent. As signs of spring appear, Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter will be here before we know it.
Sunday’s bulletin is chock-full of announcement about upcoming opportunities. I wanted to note two below, as they are new.
Peace to all of you, John
